What a weekend

Well!  I had the most horrible weekend!  It started at 8am on Saturday when we had to get up!  8am… on a SATURDAY!!!  Saturday’s are for sleeping in - not for getting up at 8am.  Anyway, we got up, and Mum and Dad had breakfast.  Gran got a bit cranky at me because I was having my breakfast and I like to take some pellets out of the bowl and eat them off the floor instead.  She told me that I wasn’t allowed to make a mess!  I promise I was going to eat them all.

So at about 9am Mum and Dad hid my food and water bowls in our room and then there was a knock on the door.  A strange lady entered.  In no time at all there was 5 strange ladies and they all sat around talking about making things with material - flowers and things to put on your head.  Everyone stayed until about 3.30!  I tried my best to stay out of the way, but I wanted to stay near my Mum so it was very hard.

After everyone left Mum started running around and putting things in bags.  We went to a place and swapped my comfy car for a car I didn’t know, and drove, and drove, and drove.  When we stopped we were at Uncle Richard and Aunty Kellie’s house!  I’d been there before so was quite happy to be there.  We all sat and talked to Uncle Richard for a while, then I heard this weird sound and ran upstairs, Uncle Richard got up and went into the room the noise was coming from.  I peeked into the door…. and saw a hairless puppy with only two legs who was dressed in human clothes.  Then I remembered my cousin Cooper lived with Uncle Richard and Aunty Kellie now.  Poor Cooper was sick and didn’t sleep well and mum wasn’t able to get any really nice photos of him so she has stolen one of Uncle Richards photos for me to put on here.

On Sunday I also got woken up at 8am!  Mum got up and spent some time with Uncle Richard and Cooper while Dad and I had a bit more of a sleep in.  Mum then made us both get out of bed and we got back into the car.  We drove for a while and then Mum and Dad said “there it is”.  I looked out the window and saw a dog.  We turned around and parked the car at the dogs house.  We got introduced to the puppy, her name is Bridie.  Bridie seemed to like my Mum.  I told her that she was MY Mum, but she didn’t take much notice, I think she was too busy trying to talk to the birds.  I got scared when the people there and Mum and Dad started talking about Bridie being my sister…. I didn’t want a new sister, and I thought that it might mean that I was going to have a new Mum and Dad too.  I was very happy when Mum, Dad and I went and left that other Bridie puppy there.

Even though we left Bridie at her house, Mum and Dad told me that she was going to be my new sister and come and live at Gran’s with us.  She is 1 year and 8 months old - so at least she is trained enough and she might not be soooooo annoying - but I still think it’s fun being an only puppy…. although she might like to play with me which would be nice.

We spent the rest of the day going to visit my Uncle Jack and Aunty Chris, and then we had lunch back at Uncle Richards and Aunty Kellie’s, before driving home.

Moving

Mum, Dad and I are now living with my Gran!  We took a long trip on the boat like we did last year - but this time I had to stay in a cage with all the other dogs!  Then we drove for what seemed like days to get to Gran’s house.  For some reason all our furnature is in the garage at a house in another state but I don’t understand why.

I’ve been really scared latey that my Mummy or Daddy might leave me like Carbi did.   I get sad if they have to leave me at all and there has now been talk about getting another puppy to keep me company.  I don’t want another puppy!!!!  I have only just gotten to get Mum and Dad to myself.  I get to have all the food in the bowl, I don’t have to share treats and there isn’t another puppy on Mum or Dad’s lap when I want a cuddle.  I’m not saying that I don’t miss Carbi - I loved him cause he was my brother and we had lots of fun together - but he was a brat and it’s nice to be a single puppy.

In other news, I got a new toy!  Which is kind of an old toy!

When we were in Tassie Mum threw out my monkey.  I loved my monkey - Mum said that I loved him too much and he had too many holes to fix.

Then the other day Mum and Dad got back from the shops and they had a new toy for me!  It was my monkey looking all brand new!

Rest In Peace

This morning at 10am, Carbi went to heaven.

After a long pain filled battle he is finally resting and pain free.

We love you Carbi and we miss you already.

Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Hello everyone!

It’s my third birthday today!  Mummy and I are waiting for Dad to wake up so that I can get my pressies - but Dad is not feeling too good this morning so I might be waiting for a while :-(

Maybe I should use my puppy dog eyes on Mum and make her make me a cake :-)

I’ll put some photos on here later

Work Day 2

Aramis has been mean to me tonight… telling me that Dad doesn’t love me and that he’s not going to come home.

Aramis was a cry baby this morning.  He didn’t want Mum to go to work - see he is blocking the door.

Work Day

Today Mum went to work early in the morning (6am) and Dad went at 2pm.  Then Mum came home about 4pm and we are just waiting to see if Dad comes home.  He always has before so I’m not worried, but I’ve been teasing Carbi saying that Dad won’t be coming home anymore because he doesn’t love Carbi anymore.  I have to say things like that cause I’m the oldest.  Mum took this photo of Carbi when I told him.

For Your Information…

In the interest of full disclosure (don’t I sound smart saying that!! I read it somewhere and I hope it means what I’m trying to say) I need to tell all my DWB friends something.

Carbi and I aren’t Paws for Diabetics assistance dogs anymore. We are just plain assistance dogs :). We still alert and do all that stuff but we don’t go to work or to the shops with Mum and Dad.

I wanted to tell you this because if you look at their website I am still on the banner - but I’m not working for them anymore and I think that my friends should know that.  Oh, and Carbi wants me to tell you that he is still on their sample sponsorship newsletter, but he also doesn’t work for them.

On another note, thanks to everyone for the Christmas cards we have received. Carbi and I are a bit slow in sending ours out but they will be done by the end of this week or early next week. Mum and Dad have both been sick… Oh and Nana and Pop came to visit - I’ll tell you more about that soon.

Spanner in the works

Mum and Dad have been doing stuff in the garden (and Mum has turned red - I don’t know why!). Anyways, I decided to try and help by fixing some stuff around the house, using my trusty giant spanner (oh the good times Spanner and I have had!).

Waiting…..

This is what Carbi was doing while Dad was at work today. The pink fence you can see outside the window is the gate Dad comes in when he gets home from work. He’s such a baby that he sits there and watches and waits.

Project-when-you-feel-like-it photo 2

I feel like posting another photo today.

carbi-nose.jpg

This is my foot. It it there for me to walk on. I need to walk so that I can eat, play, go out to the toilet, and sleep. Actually I don’t need it too sleep, but I do need it to get onto the bed to sleep. I have four feet and they all look very similar. This is my front left foot. My back legs hurt sometimes but that’s because of my knees, not my feet. I like my feet.

A foot is at the end of my leg. There is no cure.

PS. Aunty Lou laughed at me saying there was no cure for my nose smelling things. I don’t see why it’s that funny. Mum writes that on her posts and noone laughs at her. Her’s say things like “Diabetes is life threatening. There is no cure” and me saying my nose has no cure is just as true as her saying that. I don’t get it Aunty Lou - and it’s not nice to laugh at your nephew.
